The Dry Whites 2008
A significantly cooler summer than average, but September brought with it sun with morning mists. The grapes with their wonderful acidity rapidly started to rot. It took radical select picks to obtain the magnificent, balanced juice for the Andrea dry white. Harvested between 26 and 29 September from the old vines on a limestone terroir.
Mademoiselle 2008
This wine for aesthetes exhibits fabulously original aromas of antique rose flowers. From our favourite grape variety, the Muscadelle. A fermentation and an aging in vats demonstrates its lightness followed by a lengthy finish, almost salty.
‘Don’t rely on the discretion of the nose of this wine and of its rich vitality. This wine is actually a delicate wine which doesn’t play into the hands of the big guys. Its floral notes are discreet, in the mouth it is fine, but devilishly long and elegantly spicy. A great wine for those with attentive taste buds’. www.gaultmillau.fr
Andréa 2008
This wine is made from specific parcels of vines (La Graviere and La Carbonniere) on a concentrated limestone terroir exposed to the north. This truly expressive dry white for keeping, atypical in this region, contains mostly Muscadelle, our favourite grape variety, giving it its subtle aromas whilst its finesse and suavity are conserved. The Semillon from our old vines allow this wine its laying down potential as well as its length and racy character.
‘A nose of peach and apricot with a spicy edge, wonderful attack in the mouth, unctuous with a finale long and fresh’. Guide Bettane & Desseauve 2011
