A Love of Muscadelle

After a long replanting and developing programme, our property, faithful to the historical typicity of Monbazillac, will have a high proportion of Muscadelle vines, 40%, supplemented by Semillon vines, 50% and a touch of Chenin, 10%.

The Semillon, porter of richness, elegance and opulence, is perfectly complemented by the aromatic breadth of muscadelle and the delicacy of Chenin.

Muscadelle, our favoured and adored grape, gives our wines their deep, spicy and fruity aromas.

Our domaine probably has the largest proportion of Muscadelle in France. In fact this mischievous and bewitching grape, sensitive to many diseases, requires a demanding and exacting viticulture, producing its qualitative grapes only in small yields.
