The liquoreux 2005

The harvest of the liquoreux was spread out from 17 Octrober to 2 November, the weather alternating from periods of fog and rain to heat, perfectly suited to the development of our favouritie fungus. Two select picks were necessary to obtain grapes with more than 23 degrees of sugar, on average, with a total yield of 9hl/ha. The richness and length on the palate is the signature of this sunny vintage. La Cuvee Madame comes principally from the parcels of limestone/clay from the foot of the slopes, corresponding to the first day of each pick. The Chateau Tirecul la Graviere come from the middle and end of the two select picks.

Cuvée Madame 2005 :

‘We are at the very summit of excellence with this delicate crystallised nose and fresh creaminess which radiates on the mouth. This wine combines the greatest richness imaginable with a freshness and elegance, placing this wine at the level of d’Yquem and Climens. 20/20’ Revue Tast 02/2009

Château Tirecul La Gravière 2005

‘The Monbazillac 2005 is superb, with a beautiful botrytis highlighted by an exotic and vanilla side. In the mouth its richness gives generous fullness and an unimaginable suaveness. A succulent wine’. Guide de la Revue du Vin de France 2010.

Les Pins 2005 :

‘This cuvee is a superb introduction to their great cuvees that are more rich and honeyed. A beautiful blend of 80% Semillon and 20% Muscadelle, it offers superb purity alongside a honeyed style revealing notes of botrytis, tangerine, orange jam and crème brulee’. Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, août 2008.
