The liquoreux 2008

The summer was much cooler than average, but the months of September and October were sunny with mists each morning. The botrytis therefore installed itself as it should giving grapes of superb acidity. This vintage offers wines of finesse with a great tension. The picking covered three select picks between 30 September and 16 November, of 19.9 to 25.5 in sugar.

Cuvée Madame 2008

One of the great successes of the vintages, one of our favourite wines for its elegance.

‘Driven by a structure of acidity the cuvee Madame 2008 is a rare accomplishment. Great concentrated richness but without heaviness, a fullness of flavours, nervosity and precision on the finish signalling a truly great wine which will improve over decades’. Guide de la Revue du Vin de France 2013.

Château Tirecul La Gravière 2008

‘The must have of the domaine, the must have of Monbazillac and one of the greatest bottles of sweet wine in the hexagon! An exacting vintage, 2008 has not taken anything away that one loves from this huge wine registered on crystallised dry grapes and apricot, and honey delicately touched with vanilla. The mouth is concentrated, refreshed with a dash of balsamic and light caramel and fig. Limitlessly long final in the mouth. An exceptional sweet wine’. Coup de cœur Guide Gault et Millau 2014
